Our modems are fast, proven and provide great coverage, but on occasions, a modem on its own needs a little help to distribute Wi-Fi to other areas of your home.
This may be due to your modem not being located in a central area, your wall structure (concrete, steel, or other thick material can disrupt signal), or if your home is very large (over 200sqm).
To help, we have partnered with Plume® to help extend your Wi-Fi range and improve its performance. You will need to have a Wireless Nation broadband connection to purchase a Plume setup from us.
So what do I get with my $10 monthly subscription?
Plume learns where and when you use WiFi, constantly adapting to keep speeds optimised, meaning devices get the reliable speed they need – anywhere in your house!
With best-in-class security, Plume protects against everything from Malware to Network attacks. It also has an ad blocker, keeping those pesky pop-ups at bay.
Intuitive tools for managing users, devices, and internet access. Create custom temporary passwords for guests, keep your kids safe online, and much more.
Plume senses motion around the house, acting as an additional level to your existing security system, and giving you insight to how you use your home.

What parental controls are available with Plume?
It’s easier than ever to set permissions for individuals, allowing you to customize schedules, pause Internet access, and see when each person was last home and online. You can schedule internet freezes (e.g. for homework or dinner time), or activate 15 or 30 minute time-out freezes.
Additionally there are additional filtering and blocking functions that can help you make sure your child is accessing only safe, age appropriate content.
Can I use the SuperPods without HomePass?
Because Plume is a cloud based, Smart, adaptive technology – it needs to be connected to the Plume servers, so an active $10 monthly HomePass subscription is needed to use your Plume SuperPods.
Who handles customer support?
Wireless Nation handles all support for the Plume services it sells – so you can rest assured knowing that you’ll get the same friendly local Kiwi support that you’ve grown to expect!
Can I buy Plume elsewhere?
Wireless Nation is an official partner with Plume. Plume is only offered by official partners in NZ. This ensures you get the right devices for New Zealand (with NZ plugs), NZ warranty, and of course NZ support.
How many SuperPods do I need?
We recommend placing one SuperPod for every two large rooms, spread evenly throughout your space to maximize performance. The app will help you with optimising placement.
The app will also show you what signal strength you’re getting on your devices in the different locations you use them – this will help you determine if you need additional SuperPods.

What happens if I move house?
Once the initial setup is done, the SuperPods are a plug and play solution – so just plug them in at your new house and you’re good to go! All devices that were previously connected will connect automatically.
Can I install it myself?
Plume is incredibly intuitive, and almost all users install it themselves with no issue. However, if you have any problems setting up your new Plume devices – please don’t hesitate to contact our customer service team.
